Last week, 28 years after keynoting the 1992 Republican National Convention, I posted a few sentences saying I could no longer be silent in the face of Republican Donald Trump’s lies, brutalities and corruption. I was stunned at the response. You, friends and strangers, sent back an overwhelming wave of affirmation.

Thank you for your notes of personal support, for your hearty encouragement, and for your belief that the time to break our silence has come — that speaking out matters. I’ll not wait 28 years to speak out again. Given your kind responses and my convictions, I’ll post weekly messages from now to Election Day (November 3rd).

I hope you’ll read my messages. And, again, many thanks for inspiring me to speak truth to power.

Love, Mary
